Rayji

I was born in Alhambra, Los Angeles on Nov. 19,1991.  My family and I lived and moved out of an apartment in East Los Angeles for a one story house in La Puente Valley because of a new addition to the family. I was a shy kid who drew constantly since my toddler years. All I wanted to do was draw and paint.

Los Angeles is where I lived half my life before moving to Oceanside in 2002 to be alongside my father's family in a better community. Moving to a new environment totally different than where I previously lived, completely changed me. Since elementary school I was a student who had to go through R.S.P, special learning education, studied hard to graduate High School.

After graduating Vista High, I applied to Pasadena City College to become a film major. I've been filming short videos ever since my dad gave me digital camera during fifth grade, but realized that maybe it wasn't the major I've wanted to pursue. After taking a few art classes in PCC for extra credits, I questioned myself (I still do with many things I do). After gallery field trips, the friendships made in those classes, the projects and the good times spent, I rediscovered my love for animation, drawing and painting. I was becoming homesick, moved back to Oceanside and applied to MiraCosta College to become a Studio Art Major in achieving my A.A. degree in 2017.
